Ibook g3 ipod sync

i have an Ibook G3 with mac os x 10.4.11, 800mhz, 384mb RAM
i cannot sync my 2nd gen itouch because i cannot get the latest itunes.
My question is, How can i get my itunes music from my computer to my ipod?
i have itunes 8.2.1

iTunes 10 requires OS X 10.5 Leopard, which a G3 iBook can't run.

I know, I was wondering if there was a way to transfer music without using itunes.
