I have a hand-me-down G3 iBook 14" running Tiger. It works pretty well, of course, it's not as nice as the newer stuff.

Anyway, whenever I watch a in-browser video from CNN (since their site was redesigned), it plays very stuttery, even on a LAN connection. I noticed that their videos use Shockwave, which I updated, but it's bad. I don't have any other problems with You Tube or other videos.

I know this thing isn't a powerhouse, but a 800mhz machine with 640meg of RAM should be able to watch a video in a browser, right? It runs DVD's full screen with no issues.

Flash is going to need a lot of processing power to run.

Unfortunately, you're probably going to need a little more muscle to view smooth video on the web.
