I did... as most of people outside of US...

I pay 50zl (15$) for 2,7GB Internet (speeds around 10MBits) and 172 minutes/172 messages.

Buying it out of contract benefits some people, not so much for others.

I was eligible for an upgrade, but I didn't use it because I didn't want to be stuck in another two year contract and I wanted to keep my unlimited data.

It's understandable that not everyone feels that way, but I feel it's a little rude to make comments saying people who pay the unsubsidized prices are "rich apple fan boys." Just my opinion though.

Srsly, which is how most people in other countries have to pay for it since there's no carrier subsidy.
would u still buy it?????

I paid mine 950$ here in Italy, dude

My plan costs 50$/mo with unlimited text and minutes and 2 gb.

People do it all the time (those who upgrade early, etc.) I've purchased unsubsidized twice, though was more forced to that wanting to. Also remember that $600 isn't a ton of money to some people.

To be honest in Italy 600$ is the price for high mid-level smartphones ... High end models starts at 750-800$ ...

I live here in the US and I bought mine for $600 off of someone, since I am on T-Mobile. Loving my grandfathered unlimited data plan! I don't regret my purchase at all and I love my phone. It's a worthwhile investment for something you use every day! Everyone pays the high cost you just don't see it since it's in your expensiveeee plans..

Lol like I always bought? No problem... Actually here I've paid 700€ for 32gb 4S and 700€ for 16gb 5

In the US we don't get a discount on the monthly charges if we buy the phone out right.

No but on Verizon you keep your unlimited data. Depending on your usage that can make up the extra cost in a couple months.

Paid $1000USD after tax with AC+. That's $600 over unsub for a 64GB model. Made it up in two months due to data usage. I float from 10-100GB due to work.
