Whenever I boot up my iMac with my iPod plugged in, it just sits at a grey screen (even if I hold alt to get to the Boot Camp menu). As soon as I unplug my iPod, it boots normally. It seems as if it's trying to boot off the iPod or something. Anyone know why this is happening? Thanks

I have the same problem with my iPod. I have a 1st Gen iPod Nano and every time I reboot my computer (PC :-( ) it stays at the brand logo screen. I unplug and it's smooth sailing. So I decided to check out why it started doing this, and I uninstalled the newest update. Apparently the update made the damn thing lock up in boot. Sucks.

Same thing here on my iMac and it used to happen on my PC too. I'm assuming its something to do with the potential to boot from a USB device, so the machine is checking out the iPod from a drive point of view, but not finishing the process properly.
