My old white intel iMac has recently started random lockups, the screen freezes (although the mouse works) all applications do not respond or the keyboard around the same time i have been getting lines across the display.
I initially put it down to the system needing a fresh install to remove all the rubbish, so this morning i carried out a fresh Snow Leopard install, all went well then 2 hours after the fresh install with it all set up again i go the lines back and then a system lock up.
Bugger
im thinking this could be caused by over heating (dust on the processor fans etc..) as this iMac has been run 24/7 for the last couple of years.
does anyone have any thoughts or should i start pricing up a new one ?
Regards
