From kodawarisan...

"Apple is reportedly developing an LCD display with a built-in 1/7" CCD module with 310,000 pixels to make video-chatting easier. This development was spurred by better than expected sale of iSight. This display with the built-in camera will not be used in Apple HD Cinema Display, but on an iMac."

Take it for what it's worth...

But how would the CCD be integrated? Do they plan to just add it at the top of the screen, or would it really be in the centre of the screen, amidst the TFT transistors? I have no idea whether this would be feasible or not... please bear with me, I'm not a hardware guy :).

i imagine the intergrated CCD would be off to the side (or top). there's no way to embed a ccd within tft.
