iMovie 3 Problem

I know there might be another thread on this subject, but I've been trying to use iMovie to edit some music videos for some friends. I can't seem to Get iMovie to open. It gets about 3/4 of the way then hangs forever. I disabled all extra languages and all plugins from the Get Info window. Then I noticed a problem. The size is reported to be 72.4MB, however it is also displayed at 62Million-some bytes. Could this be the cause of my problems (And Everyone elses I've been hearing about)??
