I am an my 3rd set of iPod in-ear earbuds, and have had the same issue with the last 2 sets, which is that the left channel will sound noticeably softer on the left phone than on the right. My 3rd pair has started to develop the same problem. If it gets any worse I'll just forget these and get another pair of Sony MDR-EX71s, which can now be had for $30, as opposed to the $50 I originally paid for my pair, which I lost :(.

Anyway, has anyone else had this problem with the earbuds? Maybe it's the way I'm treating them? Any suggestions?

Oh, and the problem happens on my PowerBook, iBook, and iPod, so it's not the source.

[EDIT] Forgot to mention that when I put the right phone in my left ear it sounds just as loud as when it's in my right ear, so it's not my hearing.
