I've got a huge collection of fonts that I haven't yet installed. I'm wondering if there's a good way to browse through the them all and when something pleases me install it right away. I thought I'd use FontBook by creating a new collection where I put the new fonts. Is that a good idea? There are like 500 fonts inside this folder.

Regardless of what you program you use... Fontbook, Suitcase, etc.

I would advise that you create a number of 'sets' perhaps alphabetically or by style e.g. futuristic, serif, sans display-- these are up to you... depending on your typographical prowess.

Then sort & install the fonts into these sets. Activate the set you want to use at the time. That way you don't have to load up all 500 when all you want to do is type out a simple Word document.
