The Larger the drive density the more errors, and likely hood of drive failure... just so you know. I'm waiting(see my omg can i put this beauty in my macbook thread) for that to be available(if it is) and then im going to use my macbook drive in an external case.:D

Cool, the reason I asked is because I'm hitting the road for a year or so and want to take my notebook with me. However, I use it for sound production so it would be nice to have all my stuff on the MacBook and leave the External at home, safe and sound. People tell me 7200RPM is essential for audio production, so it's a balance between 100GIG 7200 or a 160GIG 5200... Decisions.


Interesting that you can house your existing Mac HD? Can you recommend a case, something pref slimline and Firewire/USB powered.
