interpret a kernel panic?

Hi,

Had my first kernel panic today. Wasn't doing anything really exciting when it happened, surfing macrumors, playing itunes, stuff like that.

Running : G4 MDD 1.25 DP, 1 Gig Memory, 80 gig and 120 gig drive with 10.2.8, all latest updates.

I've since repaired permissions and I found a few files with some errors, and fixed them.... as well, I ran a hardware diagnostic (extended) which came up fine.

This is the kernel panic that happened: Can you please let me know what it means?

hhmmm... OS 10.2.8? why not upgrade to 10.3? OS X gets more reliable with each update... but i guess 10.3 users still get a kernel panic every so often.

i don't really thing there is something to interpret. i always thought that a kernel panic was just some random, bizarre fault with the kernel?

i'm sure there is a way that you can see what happened... but do you really want to know? most likely, it's nothing that you did, just some random thing. if it is something that you're doing, you'll probably get another one, then you'lll know what's causing it.

but if there is someone here that can tell us what this means, i'd like to know as well.

Kernel panics are some of the worst things to debug if you don't know TONS about the situation.

Some of those hex numbers are thre registers in the processor. Then ontop of that it would have been helpful to do a RAM dump (cause you don't have the KDB installed obviously). Let's see, on top of that, I think alot of prayer is involved in this and some very good knowledge of what the registers are in your CPU.
