Whenever I download a .dmg file in Safari 5.0.1 on Mac OS X 10.6.4, I get an "invalid checksum" error when I try and mount the image.

When I download the same DMG file from the same source in Chrome, it downloads and mounts perfectly fine.

Any ideas? I've tried restarting and repairing disk permissions.

Are you using a "download manager?" Have you installed any Safari extensions?

Does this problem exist on a newly created account?

No extensions, download manager. Same thing happens on another user account.

I also tried removing all Safari-releated preferences to no avail. Going to try and reinstall Safari right now.
