IPad 3 wifi compared to iPhone 5

Hello,

I have the iPhone 5 and the iPad 3 and noticed my iPad 3 has faster wifi, yet it has an older wifi chip. It scores slightly higher than my iPhone and has better reception.

For those who have an iPhone 5 and iPad 3, which has a faster wifi?
