Got ipad air 2 today. Noticed this shadow on the left where when viewing a light or white background, the 1/2 inch or less of the left part of the screen is a bit darker . My wife's air 1 does not have it. Also it seems to get warm on the right even with basic browsing.

Am I alone in seeing this strip in the left where screen seems less bright?

I believe that is called the "book spine effect". Lots of Air 1 models had/have that. I'm also curious how common it is on the Air 2.

Why for the love of god cant apple QC their displays properly?

Hi could you please post a picture of it.
I would like to see how bad or worse it is. Even i have ipad air 2 so i would like to see it and check whether my ipad also has the same issue.
