Plugged my iPad in with the intention to try out iOS 4.2. First of all the backup either took a very long time (about 20 minutes) or just froze.
Finally got it to back up and first tried restoring to 3.2.2 and even that took ages. Updated the OS as quick as usual but now it's taking forever to restore my data onto it. And it's not even started copying apps, music and videos yet.

About 15 minutes into the restore and it's only just requested access to my email information, and just started installing apps too.

Is my iPad broken? =/

Do you have the Zinio app installed? It's known to cause very slow backups. The new version has an option to disable it to backup all its content.

My first backups on any new OS take over 10-15 minutes. There after, every backup is usually within 30 seconds... do you get slow backups every single time or just the first?
