Hello everybody. Like the title states. I have the option of both phones. Which phone would you choose to use and why?

I would go for the 15. I made the switch from a 13 PM by the way. The 15 has everything you need however if you want ProRes, ProRaw, macro photography and a longer telephoto zoom, the 13 Pro is the way to go.

At this point it’s probably better to just get the 15 from future proofing perspective.

It's tricky because are we talking about regular iPhones or Max ones.

It's really similar to the do I get an older iPad Pro or do I get the current Air debate some have. If you value pro motion, better display, better sound etc the iPhone Pro while older makes the most sense. If you want the top chip possible and love the Dynamic Island, dont care about pro motion, HDR, or camera features then the 15 iPhone is your choice.

iPhone 15 for sure.

Better camera sensor, better performance, brighter display, longer iOS support. Apple software locks certain features, so even if iPhone 13 Pro had the same hardware as 15, you would want 15.

Can third party macro and zoom lenses address some of iPhone 15's shortcomings?

you kinda need to try a 120hz display and then the 15 wit the 60hz to decide.

personally I don't care about the 120hz, but some people say once they use it they "can't go back"

you should find out if you're one of those people

I "can" go back, but I'm definitely one of those people that really notices it and loves having it. It's just so buttery smooth. But my wife can hardly tell at all. Maybe it's an eye-sight thing? Who knows.

I dunno. I'm on the way to pick up a 15 to replace my 13 Pro. The battery is totally hosed on my 13 Pro (82%) and the AppleCare is out. The telephoto lens is pretty crap on the 13 pro. ProMotion is "nice" but not worth the extra cash.

I figure the total cost of ownership of the 15 over the next 2 years, taking away the sale return from the 13 Pro is around £18 a month which is a lot cheaper than the £42/month the 13 Pro ended up costing me over that time (including resale of the 11 I had beforehand)
