I'm running 3.0 on my jailbroken and unlocked iphone 2g, and I took it apart and replaced the battery. It now works fine but the wifi does not, so where is the wifi chip located? And is it easy to break it? But I don't think that I broke the chip or messed it up while I replaced my battery. So what are some fixes that would make the WIFI work again? Because right now it doesn't recognize my wireless internet I have in the house.

Have you tried restoring the phone to factory settings and seeing if it works then?

Are you able to connect to your wifi with other devices?

Make sure it isn't a software problem first. You wouldn't want to tear it apart again only to find out you needed to do a restore because a setting got messed up somewhere.
