Hi, thanks for reading. I hope you can help!

My girlfriend's 5C iPhone broke recently. The screen still works and displays the lock screen but the touchscreen is unresponsive. I've repaired a few iPods and iPhones before so figured I could repair a screen easily. I bought a whole screen unit (with home button and speaker) so all I needed to do was detach the old screen and attach the new screen. I followed the ifixit instructions which were very easy.

I replaced the screen and it works fine, it shows the lock screen, but the touchscreen is still unresponsive!

Does anyone know what the problem could be? Is there something wrong with the guts of the phone? Perhaps the connection on the main board needs replacing?

Any help would be great!
