I own an Iphone and an Android smartphone.

I am having an issue with my Android where I never get Facebook messages. So is my iphone different enough so that no issue can happen?

It’s a good question. In my own experience, Facebook alerts are hit and miss on both Android and iOS. I’d recommend making sure that your FB alerts are not set to silent (which might be the default).
I’ve had pretty good luck with Messenger messages on both platforms.
