Sick of seeing people posting about and asking questions about the Samsung note! Get the 4S you'll be way happier.

    The new iPad ftw.

Don't click on the thread. Fairly simple to understand.

Why would you come into an iPhone forum to ask questions about the Samsung galaxy note which is an android phone? Far too many android trolls in here lately

Says the single largest contributor to the multiple Note threads.

    Hi Pot, this is kettle.

All the note/android users chime in on every iPhone thread

I made a few posts in existing threads, big deal

They don't just chime in, they sit there and bash iPhone and iOS and talk about how superior android is. That's fine, just take it to an android forum

MODS: Please make an "iPhone competitors" subforum

Everyone needs to keep reporting them to the Mods (as I am) to keep the noise down. The Mods are very receptive to this and I appreciate their work!

There's no reason to create a separate "competitors" forum, and this idea has been brought up and shot down numerous times in the past few years. If you think someone is trolling, don't participate in the thread. Pretty simple.

To get the opinions of iPhone and/or Apple-in-general users, I would think. I could see myself doing this, for instance, since I own and use both OS X/iOS and Android platforms. However...

...this type of thread is trolling. Report those and we'll take care of it.

If someone wants to compare a competitor's phone to the iPhone, or wants Apple users' opinions, then it's perfectly ok to post in the iPhone forum. If a thread doesn't seem to invite any sort of comparison whatsoever, or seem to be asking Apple users for their input, you can report it, and we'll consider moving it.

That said, all that really needs to be done is for members to make very clear thread titles. That way, members who don't want to read or participate in threads that involve competing products can use thread titles to avoid clicking on threads that will irritate them.
