So I recently had to restore my iPod, and it worked for a couple of days, and now it won't connect to my computer. when I connect it, it says that it needs to be updated (it was just restored and updated) but when I try to run ipod updater, the updater freezes. iTunes doesn't recognize it, and "my computer" recognizes that it's there, but when I click on it to try and "explore" it or whatever, it says to "insert a disc into drive i" I really can't figure out what's wrong with it

This is similar to my iPod shuffle. If you have all of your songs on your computer, couldnt you wipe the iPod?
