my ipod has been working fine since forever, then this time i plug it into my computer to update the songs on it, then it says something like "your ipod could not be read blah blah blah, use the system software update to change it back to factory settings"

how could i do this? where do i go?

and oh yea im on a MAC os x, if that helps in anyway, lol.

Check your Utilities folder for an iPod Updater folder. Run it and choose restore to factory settings option. If you don't have it, download it from

http://www.apple.com/ipod/download/
