I want to be able to use the apple remote with my old Powerbook, which I'm using as a media centre through XBMC. Unfortunately Plex doesn't work for the old macs, otherwise I would definitely use Plex. Anyways, I know there are a few USB-IR adapters, do they work well? Maybe someone could recommend another way of controlling the old mac.
I'm in the process of automating the media centre and will prob control all devices using the SQ Blaster which is all based on IR and then hook it up to a Vera Lite. Guessing the IR will be my way to connect to the PB G4 as well.
