unless I'm mistaken, all of my previous iPhones behaved the same way...

the iPhone turns itself off after battery reached close to 0%.

I plug it into the charger and after a short while, the iPhone turns itself on again

well... somehow my iPhone 14 Pro Max doesn't do that anymore. it turns itself off after the battery reached 0%. I plug it in and the phone never turns itself on again. If I come back in an hour or tow, the phone is still off. When I manually press the power button and turn it on, I can see that the batter has reached 100%.

is this normal? or is there something wrong?
