I upgraded my G3 600Mhz Blue Dalmatian iMac and the speed improvementis nice and noticable. Not sure if the wait for Tiger is advisable depends on the latest ideas about release dates but given the way they are trumpeting it on apple.com it cannot be too far.
I do wish Apple would now offer Jaguar for free to users of older machines to get everyone (100%) to OSX, That with some small rebate off Tiger would be much appreciated by the community, increase sales potential and reduce compatibility issues for developers.
