Looking at your Device ID I suspect thats a PC 9700 thats been flashed with a 9800 ROM if you can post a Picture of the card it will confirm my suspicions (it will most likely have a black heatsink if its a R9700) dont be alarmed tho... flashing PC 9700s with a Modified Mac 9800 ROM is the way your meant to flash the card since the Mac 9700 ROM has issues with PC cards (the fact it cant be reduced and the PC card is VGA DVI and not DVI DVI)

Looking on EveryMac.com I see the 9700 was a BTO option for the 1.42 MDD.
So it is quite likely this card is the stock card for my MDD, don't ya think?

a mac OEM 9700 would say 9700 in system profiler and it would have a DVI and ADC port on it also the sticker on ur MDD would mention it. a Flashed 9700 would say 9800 pro in system profiler and have the standard VGA and DVI ports
