I purchased a MBP to do some work when I'm not at home.

Do I need an audio interface when working itb? ( will it for example ease my CPU )

It makes me more mobile if I don't need to carry an audio interface with me all the time.

The latency is very amazing with the stock internal audio card.

If you need one or not depends on what you are doing. You have to supply some details. "some work" is not really very descriptive.

If you're at all serious about sound, and have a worthwhile pair of monitors/headphones, then yes, a good audio interface with good converters will make a difference.

A USB interface will increase the load on your CPU over the built in one, a Firewire won't.
