Is anyone else having problems installing itunes 5?
i'm running 10.3.9, and whenever i try to install it (by software update or by the downloadable installer) it comes up

"iTunesX cannot be installed on this computer.
Please quit iTunes before performing this update."
:confused:
why am i getting this problem? nothing is open when i try to install the new version. not itunes, not quicktime, nothing!
if anyone could help me please?

Try deleting iTunes prefs :D

Have you got Synergy or SizzlingKeys running? Turns out these apps that interface with iTunes somehow send the message that iTunes is still open, when its not. Try turning them off with Activity Monitor

turning off my sizzling keys fixed it
I didn't think of that!
