Hi All,

Haven't found an instance of this issue yet:

I have a 2nd gen touch and am running iTunes 8.1 on Windows XP Pro. All of the sudden after 3 trouble free weeks, my itunes stopped detecting my Ipod Touch. I've tried connecting the cable to multiple USB 2 ports on the computer (and each time the computer detects it as I hear the familiar windows 'you've connected a USB doohickey' sound) , have restarted the computer and have reset the Ipod as well as have cycled it on/off. I have an Ipod Video (5th gen) which connects and syncs with itunes fine.

No luck at all with the touch but it charges fine... thoughts?

I've heard a lot of people with that problem say that reinstalling iTunes fixes it. Otherwise, I'd say you should contact Apple Support/go to your local Apple Store.
