I bought an as-is 2010 Macbook Pro 15" i7 2.66mhz 8gb 500gb HD model #MC373LL/A for a really fair price given the defect. Everything works and its pretty snappy and fast but I have too use an extern keyboard because it has keyboard issues.
The keys on the keyboard on the extremities do not work. The middle works but the keys on the edges don't work. For example the dimmer, 1,q,a,z, don't work. The keys next to that work: 2,w,s,x.
Im looking for advise or help: anyone experience this before? is it water damage? Can I switch out the keyboard and expect this will fix it? or is it a motherboard issue? or other things I can try to see if it fixes it?
