I’ve started to do something which has really helped me overall in reading and just daily use.
1. I turn on automatic light and dark mode for sunrise / sunset, have put on a matte screen guard (it doesn’t look too bad in glossy as well)
2. Turned on Reduce white intensity and leave it at 25% which is pretty sufficient
3. Turned on colour filters - grayscale and reduce to intensity to about 50-60% (depending on the device, do slightly more colour on the mac, uniform on iPhone and iPad)
4. Action button toggles the colour filter (on or off) on iPhone (shortcut on control centre for iPad and Mac) when i want full colour
So most often it looks like a colour e-screen reader and its not glaring in your face, but when you want the colours for movies / photos, I just quickly use the action button or the shortcut in control center to change it back to normal colour. And its not completely grayscale, that distinguishing icons visually and other visual cues arent an issue
Has been so good for my eyes!
