Looking For A Marine/Navigation Map To Replace Garmin

Hi all,

I'm looking at getting an ipad with 3G/4G (GPS receiver) so he can replace his current, aging GPS. I hear that boaters are now using Ipads with the GPS receivers and pre loaded/cached Map data for their navigation needs.

Can someone describe my options, app wise, for doing this?
