Lose all sound/must reboot? Late 2016 15" MBP

Anyone else have this issue? Log into computer and no sound whatsoever from anywhere even though the sound bar shows max volume and mute is off. Needed to reboot both times for the sound to come back.

This happened to me yesterday. However, I was playing sound through my AirPods last time I used my computer. But I made sure that the speakers were selected for the sound and still nothing. So I rebooted and everything works fine now.

macOS glitch/bug. annoying - something a billion dollar company like apple should be able to fix.
happened to me on my 2013 MacBook air and has done it at least once on my 2016 13" ntb MacBook pro
