I have a two day old Mac Mini.

Love it!

When I check out the specs of it, the HD says the capacity is 74.4 GIG's.

and free space is 64 gig's. The free space doesnt botherme as i have a few things on it, but why is the "Capacity" only 74.4, shouldn't it be 80GiG's?

thanks

the free space will read 80,000,000,000 bytes. a MB is 1024Kb not 1000Kb. Its a marketing ploy to play to the consumers misconception of computer units.
