Just checking my 5,1 Mac Pro. I have an AMD Radeon HD 7970 installed.

The System Report shows it's supposed to be metal compatible... So Mohave should be ok?

7970 is actually the same chip as the nMP’s D700. Since the nMP is supported, therefore, the 7970 must be supported.

Thanks, good to know.

I only bought the 7970 some time ago to speed up PTGui. 360 pano rendering time went from 3 to 4 minutes down to around 10 seconds... !

I also run a 4k Eizo off the card as well, works great!

Update:

My Mac Pro (Mid 2010) is running the first commercial release of Mojave fine with the AMD Radeon HD 7970.

The 7970 isnt an official Apple version, but has been flashed, so behaves as though it is I guess.
