Hi. I am getting a new mac and I would like to use my old one, Mac Mini, as a "media server" always on and has a big hard drive. Can I file share if I simply plug an ethernet cord INTO my mac mini and then INTO my iBook? Thanks :apple:

The Mac Mini's ethernet port has auto-negotiation, so yes. Just Go to System Preferences->Sharing and turn on File Sharing.
