Hello,

I downloaded a simple youtube video using clipconverter.cc.

After seeing reviews about this being a dangerous site, I'm not sure if I have downloaded a virus on my mac, all I got was the video that downloaded. Could there be a file hiding somewhere?

Any thoughts?

There are no known mac viruses currently in the wild, you could have picked up some adware, download adware medic and run a scan. Download avast antivirus if you are still worried but if you are gonna react like this every time you click on a site with bad reviews you are going to spend a lot of time worrying.

Malware exists, viruses for OSX do not - at least for the moment. There are risks to to visiting sites with those warnings,

ClamXav is the free version of ClamAV and its a good free antivirus app to scan your system and make sure there's no malware.

The best malware application out there is your brain - if you see those sort of warnings, then close out safari and don't go any further.
