I wonder if this was intentional, the estimated time remaining in the battery indicator menu is removed on my rMBP Mid-2014 15", due to how inaccurate it can be and people complaining about the 2016 MBP estimates?

edit: in previous public betas of 10.12.2 the time remaining was there, and I have restarted a few times since installing beta 4 and also removed and added back the menu bar widget to confirm it never shows the time. It does show time remaining to fully charge though when plugged in.

I noticed this yesterday and logged a Feedback report assuming it was a bug. You should do the same; the more the merrier imo! No point in using betas if you're going to freak on each bug and not report them :)

If you go to Activity Monitor / Energy then you can see the estimated remaining battery time there.

oh that's good I'm not going crazy, I also reported it.. I can't see anything in the change log about removing the estimated remaining charge from the status bar.

I was updated my macbook air to 10.12.2 public beta 5, that's a latest beta. But the bug time remaining on battery indicator STILL SAME, STILL GONE. I hope tin he final release of 10.12.2, they make the time remaining battery indicator come back.
