MacPro5,1 & OSX 10.11 - USB 3.0 PCIe Recommendations?

The RocketU 1144C & the Allegro cards work fine in El Capitan.

Actually that's a mistake in the first sentence--the first post is much more up to date than that. I've removed the offending sentence because it is wrong, it is misleading, and it is redundant with the bulletin board software's own "last change" date anyway.

I'm reasonably confident that any FL1100-based card will work in El Capitan and many future OS X version to come, because it's the same chipset included in the nMP. There are no guarantees, but the theory has worked so far.

In any case, it looks like I'm late to the game and you've gotten some solid recommendations already.

Inatek 4 port powerless card + El Capitan here. No issues.

Not sure why they say it's incompatible. Maybe they just don't support it if something goes wrong?
