Do Mail notification badges only appear when mail (Outlook account) is opened (8th gen pad - latest update)? I have focus turned off and mail notifications on - but the only time I see the number of messages is when I open the mail app. Is there a way to have the mail badge indicate number of messages without having to open the mail app?
I have a similar issue on my 2019 MBP - running Monterey 12.7.1. Same thing - focus off notifications for mail on. Have to open the mail app to see if I have any messages?
Do the Push/Fetch settings impact this - if so what should they be?
