OK I'll take your word for it.How about the "missing" years, lack of documentation or did he go off the rails for 13 years or so?
I think it's fairly safe to assume that the whole of his early life was a retrospective invention designed to chime with the various messianic prophecies in the OT.

Honestly how many children under 13 have lives worth documenting. He probably just got up, helped joseph out in the shop and kicked a ball around in the street. Unlike modern teenagers he never wore a hoodie, smoked cigarettes or got an ASBO. If the gospels had talked about his early years everyone would have switched off before the important stuff started.
