Ive not been using the old mighty mouse for a while, but ive just reconnected it and the scroll nipple thing happily scrolls side to side and up, but for wahtever reason it wont scroll down. I presume it just needs cleaning, but ive no idea how to do this.

Anyone got any tips?

Tip 1: Dont try to open the mouse. It wont and will likely damage it if opened. I found that out myself :D

Tip 2: Turn the mouse upside down and vigourously use scroll wheel to help dislodge any dirt stuck inside.

Tip 3: Make sure your fingers are free from grease/dirt etc. Then try to use SW again.

Blow it out with some compressed air.

Then wet a paper towel with Windex or glass cleaner and roll it over the ball several times.

Works a charm.
