My iphone 4 is not charging????

My Iphone 4 is not charging...

I changed a usb dock-thought it's a problem... Nothing changed...
Then I took another battery from other Iphone 4- and my Iphone started working itself with the other battery... So it is also not the issue...
But still not charging... Does anyone have an idea what else it could be??? Thanks a lot

In my case with an updated OS and a iPhone 4s, I had the same charging problem. At first I blamed it on the new OS but later read a post on the first page here to try a different cable directly to a wall unit, worked, later I looked at the faulty cable with a magnifying glass and noticed the pins were filthy and bent, even after cleaning with a pin solvent - no go. Perhaps this may help...
