iOS Navigation bar in landscape mode

I have a custom image in the navigationBar, which is 320x44. Looks great in portrait mode. But upon rotation to landscape, I replace the navigationBar image with a new one that is sized 480x32. It gets squished to 320x32. Is there any way to make the image use the entire 480 pixel space in landscape view?

You need to resize the frame of the navigation bar upon reorientation.
