Considering how few the non apple stores got, I think going back to the apple store in st johns town center is your best bet.

Anyone able to check yet today. Didn't have time to make it there on my lunch break.

It would be awesome if they were. I am going to check it out in the AM. Unless someone already knows if they are or not. The store won't give me a straight answer.

Well, I guess I am just going to have to go into work late tomorrow, and hope I can get lucky so it's not all for nothing.

You very well might. I wish they would give us a hint to when they would get more. Only if Apple wasn't so secretive...

Ya, I wanted a white one, but settled for a black one for now. May return it and get a white one when supplies become more available.

What are the lines like at the town center? I've had one on reserve at best buy but I could use the gift card from it for just about anything.

So are tickets getting you one today? Or is it just a "get a call when it comes in to pick one up"?

Today.

From what I can tell, the rumors of how they manage their daily stock are true. Whatever shipment they get today, they will hold for tomorrow. They make up tickets and each iPad available. Sometime before 9, they start handing those tickets out to people in line. At 9 their payments systems come up and they can begin selling to ticket-holders.

The tickets were gone well before 9. I barely got the model I wanted. If I'd been 10 minutes later showing up this morning, I wouldn't have gotten anything but an apology from Apple workers.

If you want one, I'd say get there on a morning well before 9. 8 seems safe. But as this information spreads, earlier than 8 is advised.

Ugh, I really don't want to get up and wait at the Apple Store and Saint Johns...but I've seen nothing show up at Target, and the only iPad showing in walmart doesn't exist (went to the store today). I've had one on order at Best Buy since 10am Saturday (was 3rd on the reservation list) but of course, best buy has received 0 since Friday (seriously Apple, you can't even send them 5???).

It seems I don't have much of a choice.

I swung by at 7:30 and there was about 40 people in line. So I guess it's waiting on Best Buy still for me.

Wow one week later and there is still 40 in line at 7:30am. And to think on launch day I got there at almost 2pm and was 100th in line. Wow.

Good luck. If I were you I would plan on an early Saturday and get there at 5am. That is what time the security guards seem to let people start lining up at the St Johns Town Center Apple store.

Any ideas if they will have a shipment today or hold some to sell sunday morning? If not I will just have to try my luck at an orlando store while at CTIA...
