networking problems in xp on boot camp

I've just installed XP Pro using Boot Camp on my MBP. I've been trying to get it to connect to the internet, but it doesn't detect my wireless card or my wired ethernet. I haven't installed SP2 . Is this the reason? Also, the driver installation says it encounters a fatal error. I'm guessing it's the lack of SP2, just wondering if anyone else has encountered this.

Install Service Pack 2, make sure that the Boot camp drivers are installed and at the latest version, and install this update: http://www.microsoft.com/downloads/...4D-E7C1-48D6-95EE-1459234F4483&displaylang=en

That should do it.
