Yo!

My old apple warranty for my iPod 5g (not 5.5) 30 gig video ran out a few months ago. It was great. I had to send my iPod in twice and I didn't pay a dime for shipping or service ( =D )

But as of April, it has expired.

My question is, does the new iPod warranty apply to mine, or only the classic?

i believe you have to purchase the extended warranty before the free year of applecare expires.. if thats what youre asking..

I have already purchased an extended warranty. That is the warranty that expired in April, as I have mentioned above

My question is; will the new iPod extended warranty cover my iPod 5G???

I don't think you start a warranty all over because they sent you a warranty replacement iPod, they've got the serial numbers of the replacement iPod and it will have been updated in the system as being a replacement and that AppleCare has expired.
