New MBA compatible with old Apple Display 24 inches, help needed

Dear Members

I would be grateful if you could kindly help. I am getting today a new MBA 11 inches (I have to collect it at UPS in the evening)
I wonder if I need an adaptor to connect it with my Apple Cinema Display 24 inches
My previous MBA 2011 model worked fine with my old Apple display.
It is necessary to buy an adaptor? The Apple online person was not able to tell me and told me to contact "technical support"

Yes, you will need the following adapter. It will connect to the Magsafe charger of the 24" ACD, and then you will be able to connect to the MBA.
