helo everyone,

hopefully I can find someone who will help me with my problem. I went online and baught the following memory that should be compatible with my eMAC:

512MB 64x64 non-ecc

PC133 133Mhz, 168 pin SDRAM
Unbuffered, Non ECC, Non Registered

7.5ns, 3.3v, CL 3 or CL 2

My eMac specs are:

Machine Model: eMac
CPU Type: PowerPC G4 (3.3)
Number Of CPUs: 1
CPU Speed: 1 GHz
L2 Cache (per CPU): 256 KB
Memory: 256 MB
Bus Speed: 133 MHz
Boot ROM Version: 4.6.4f1
Serial Number: YM3478AVPP1

My problem is that i installed 2 512 memory sticks in my mac (made sure it was secured in place) but then i got a beep that said it didn't have ram... so i tried switching it around and then i put in the old 257 it had with a new one and it started up but then when i went to see if it registered the new ram it said that it was empty and only registered the origional 257. I'm not sure what the problem is. These are suppose to work and I find it hard to beleive that BOTH cards are somehow damaged... :/

any suggestions?
