My old router died out last Thurs. and I didn't have the extra cash to buy a new one last week, so I bought a new one today, the Linksys WRT54G. I get home, connect everything, restart it all, reset the modem, go through the Network Diagnostics scan and my Mac still won't connect through a router. Meaning either I did something wrong in the diagnostics or I went out and spent $73 on a router that doesn't work, any ideas????????

Maybe your ISP blocks by MAC address.

There should be an option on your router to modify or clone your MAC address. Put the same one as your old router.

Your MAC address looks like six sets of two characters, i.e. 01 23 45 67 AA BB. Basically, it's a hardware identifier.
